Fear of the unknown propels Jericho into social, psychological and physical mayhem when all communication and power is shut down. The town starts to come apart at the seams as terror, anger and confusion bring out the very worst in some residents. But in this time of crisis, as sensible people become paranoid, personal agendas take over and well-kept secrets threaten to be revealed, some people will find an inner strength they never knew they had and the most unlikely heroes will emerge.
Cast: Skeet Ulrich ("Scream"), Gerald McRaney ("Ike: Countdown to D-Day"), Ashley Scott ("Dark Angel"), Pamela Reed ("Proof of Life"), Kenneth Mitchell ("The Recruit"), Lennie James ("Sahara"), Sprague Grayden ("Six Feet Under"), Michael Gaston ("Prison Break") and Erik Knudsen ("Saw II") star.

It would have debuted in the fall of 2006 if it had been picked up, but it was not. On May 18, 2006 when The CW announced its fall lineup, Mercy Reef was absent, however, Dawn Ostroff, the president of entertainment for The CW, stated that it was still a midseason contender. On July 24, the first episode became one of the first shows offered by Warner Brothers on the iTunes Music Store, under the title Aquaman.

I'm grabbing the first two, the other sounds pretty weak.

i've grabbed the first two but only managed to watch Jericho so far but i thought that was a pretty good beginning :D
apart from
Spoiler:
i thought it was a bit unnecessary to have the prison bus with escaped convicts,i mean come on the US of A has just been hit by a few nukes (that we know of) but no that's not enough to worry about now we have to worry about escaped cons aswell tsk tsk

the way things looked like they might go seemed to me a lot like the great movie Testament but i guess we'll see when the show airs :D
I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Time Trumpet is a television comedy series that aired on BBC Two in Summer 2006. The first full show aired on Thursday 3 August 2006 at 10pm. The satirical series, written by Armando Iannucci, "looks back" on events of the first 30 years of the 21st Century from the perspective of a nostalgia show in the year 2031 in a manner similar to his earlier one-off documentary 2004: The Stupid Version.

bbc rarely preairs stuff like they do in america. There's no such thing as sweeps, etc. Advertising commision is based on actual viewing figures. Shows are commisioned for a full series run in the uk as far as i'm aware. i think the exception might be live shows like talk shows, You can make its own thread if you want yahoo :)

actually i think one of my friends mentioned this (I binned my tv so don't know what's on), so i might as well leave it.

Is this the show where there's like a look back in time from the the future at next year with stuff like a fist fight with tony blair and gordon brown or something?

I've watched heros and jericho and have to say i'm deeply dissapointed with both. They both really missed something since their premises aren't bad. Heros is essentially an xmen ripoff (although they don't form a group, people appear with powers). The wolverine but lame girl was okay, but I really don't think they hit the good stuff at all. It was a bit more mature than a shite teen program though, but that may degenerate into one. Liked the japanese people

Jericho was by far the better of the two, and yes its the better concept of the two. I enjoyed the episode but once again I think they have started off in the wrong direction. The lack of any sort of military presence, or policital struggle which was shyed away from, it just missed real depth and the feeling is this is going to degenerate into some shite drama show. Myabe these concepts will turn up. They are american shows which probably means 8 shows worth of scripts have been padded out into 22 episodes

I'll watch both for a while, but I really think both were missed opportunities by a long, long way. That said, they aren't bad and have potential.

Then again, these are only pilots and pilots usually suck balls.

Yarm you can not judge pilots to harshly. Gotta give them ago. I have placeed these in my list will take a look at em when they come down.

I am supprised no one has watched aquaman.... Smallville is popularwith some members of this website. It is by the same guys... I hope it dose not go the smallville / buffy way of having high matience chicks, wine and bitch and preech all the time.

Well I've now watched all three and have to say they all have something going for them, Aquaman was the worst of three, too corny smiling face stiff acting.
I liked Heroes, I liked Jericho, but both need more depth to the story and less drama (allthough Jericho it's kind of hard not to).

Jericho wasn't half bad. I think that show has some real future if if makes the right choises. It looks like it could very well fall into a steaming pile of soap opera. Still I liked the pilot set up. Also I have always liked that guy who was one of the phycos in scream.

Hero's was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. It looked pretty cool and I am going to keep an eye on it for mabey a season. It is a little silly in some places already, so I am thinking it will degenerate quickly.

Aquaman was pretty much exactly what I predicted. The guys making that show just didn't count ion thefact that Superman is loved by so many, so much that they could get away with the crap they put us though oin that show. People still watch it cause it is superman. Aquaman.... HAH! Like we are going to sit though the same bullshit for that freak.

Time Trumpet I couldn't finnish.

Raines

Los Angeles. Present day. Michael Raines(Jeff Goldblum), an eccentric but brilliant cop, solves murders in a very unusual way – he turns the victims into his partners. These visions are figments of Raines’ imagination, and he knows it, but when he can’t make the dead disappear, he works with them to find the killer. Through his discussions, along with the evidence, Raines’ image of the victim changes until he has a clear picture of what really happened. Only when the case is closed do the visions end. Other detectives question Raines’ sanity, and occasionally so does he. However, as long as his unique methods are helping catch criminals, Raines imagines he’ll be just fine.
