No installer supplied for this release because Steam sucks.
If you really want steam garbage installed on your computer, you can
wait for some lame group to steal our steam files and write a steamified
cockjob installer for you, after all that's what most groups do nowadays.
Clone grps own all the releases ever done since crackers just steal em
and add crackfiles to it. The rest of you who want to play this game
now you can deal with winrar, since that's the best installer.

just completed this, a short one but a goodie :)

There's possibly missing textures and animations in this rip mind, imo its a nuke but that's unconfirmed.

Release Notes:

Half-Life 2 - Episode Two was suffering from AI bugs and missing textures
this was because our crack had a few bugs.. which are all fixed now.
For the people that experienced the "MountAppFilesystem() failed:" problem
Well that is because you did NOT extract all files from the .rar files.

On Portal there were several bugs causing the game suddenly to crash
when entering the elevator this is fixed now aswell.

Additional Notes:

Archievements won't work for now. And the answer on why our
releases of the game we're so big is because the game requires several
GCF files to make the game run.
You CANNOT exclude them.. this will cause PROBLEMS.

Also it might be possible that your savegames aren't working
properly anymore with this fixed crack. Sorry for that.. but atleast
you can have proper gameplay now

Didn't notice any major problems with the first release. There are a few textures missing in episode 2 (I noticed one chair and one pickaxe to render without any) but that's about it. Portal worked flawlessly for me. Strange. :wacky:

You will have been missing alt textures on SMG grenades, you'll be missing the axe, banister, etc. textures.

Most of all on the GMAN 'interruption' instead of guys in an action pose they'd have been stood in the default pose (arms at the side in a 'star'), similarly anyone welding would have been in a star, and you'd have noticed it majorly in white forest ;)

I bought this yesterday, orange box for £24.99... given what you get it has to be the biggest bargain in computer game history. Most of steam is vastly improved since i last used it; I dare say its actually pretty bloody good.

If anyone else uses it, feel free to add me (pm me for my username or send me yours :) ) Don't play online much mind.

Didn't even notice that, but now that you mentioned it it is kinda funny LOL Anyway, the game still plays just fine and didn't crash on me not even once :D

BTW, I'm stuck at that Strider attack on the rocket platform. Any hints on that? Damn friendlies aren't useful even against hunters and I'm always loosing time cuz hunters keep blowing those bombs up before I manage to get a clear shot on the striders. I tried to deal with hunters first but then I loose time with that (always running out of something to throw at those damn fuckers and they wouldn't stand still while I kill them :lol:) and one strider always manages to get behind me and blow the ramp up. Is there a catch to it that I'm missing or am I just too slow?

as for hints, be better! :lol:

Personally, I drive over the hunters in my car, jump out and then take out the strider (q is rapid switch between the last two used weapons). That's the tactic to kill them. I then go back to a magnuson device respawner and keep taking them out and dropping them on the ground (do this close to the entrance to the silo (there's a little hut on either side)). Then pick one up from the respawner, drop it on your rack, rinse and repeat. By taking them out of the respawner and dropping them, if you need to fall back you'll have a supply of them on the ground.

So sayeth the spud.

The alternative is to use your gravity gun and fling the wooden logs at them; will take two up close hits, or three or so good hits. Car is your best option, although watch for them jumping out of your way (time your shift key usage right ;) )

OK; flattened the little bastards. Used my RPG as much as I could first (there is ample supply of ammo stashed at the outposts, at least for the first weave and one of the friendlies near the ramp uses RPG as well so that's three more rounds once he gets killed :D ... alternatively, I could've spent one round on him myself and got to his RPG earlier :twisted:) then I used the car like you suggested and it worked. They were shifted to oblivion ;) Striders were an easy kill then as I had plenty of practice getting Magnussons sticky bombs to the target. Only wish I could tell that annoying "I have this little task for you" doctor how incredibly helpful his friendlies were :wacky: Do I get to smash his face in at the end? :? :twisted: Thanks again Spud ;) :D
