Evany - Key to a Distant Land (2004)

Weird and wonderful Sci-fi games. Mark clearly in brackets after which console it is for, if it is a pc game, do not bother.

Evany - Key to a Distant Land (2004)

Image

Take on the role of Call, a young man from a world that was saved from galactic tyrant Ozgar a generation ago. Strangley, this rescue world of Evany is not the place of renewed peace and hope one would expect. Instead, the people silently wander or sit motionless, as if they are without thought.

Travel to strange universes by intersteller flight...beyond rugged coasts and sapphire seas, gazing upon the dazzling views of the Geshon geysers. Explore four continents, where you will find enormous trees each housing whole villages. Dr. Jakar's mechanical island, plus a mysterious abandoned desert dwelling, and the sparkling glass towers of the Merari, and ancient sea people who are involved in the resistance against the Balial.

Before your travels are over, you will also need to escape from the dark prison-world of the Balial, and find someone, or something, powerful enough to help you in your final epic battle against evil.

Game Features:

*A Sci-Fi themed adventure encompassing 47 locations and 10 different environments in 3 different worlds
*Journey through stunning new universes, spread across many unique worlds
*Challenging technical , logical and environmental puzzles
*Gorgeous pre-rendered graphics using state-of-the-art Virtools® technology
*Interact with a cast of original characters

I'd assume so yes, if it uses pre-rendered backgrounds, its either like RE or Myst, and the description makes it sound like the latter.

Yes, it's the same game as The Crystal Key 2.
They changed the title for Europen release.
