Cold Harvest actually isn't too bad. It's good for a PA anyway!

I have a new review up: 2019: After the Fall of New York - www.post-apocalypse.co.uk

Update:

I've added a rare Italian softcore/PA flick "Cries of Ecstasy, Blows of Death" and I've started to categorize the movies (read my first post for details).

Great idea on the update :D - Thanks for the link.

American Cyborg, Cold Harvest, Def-con 4, Dune Warriors, Land of Doom, Omega Cop, Steel Frontier, Strker and Survival Zone are all certainly A's.

I would say the Postman is an A too but its a tough call.

I'm working on a new review for a film that should certainly be on your list (an A in my opinion). Hopefully it will be ready tonight or tomorrow. All will be revealed soon...

I am sure once this list builds you will need to break it up into some sub categories.

I have a post-apocalypse master list of around 870 films and I have them in about 10 subcategories.

870! Yowzers!

Would I be right in supposing that your list is full of apocalyptic stuff and sci-fi stuff (Recon 2020 looks fun but not one for the list surely?) that maybe wouldn't be in a post-apocalyptic wasteland list? I can't believe there are that many POST-apocalyptic films. I know there are loads of 50's/60's before and after the bomb movies and survival movies right after the bomb but I try to avoid that stuff on my list. I would still like to see it though :D

Any of you guys reading this must be into post-apocalyptic stuff or you probably wouldn't be on this page right? Then come join the message board of my site

I didn't watch "Recon 2020" yet, but from what I've read it's a wasteland PA movie but with more sci-fi in it. ;)

Recon 2020 is like a post-nuke Starship Troopers. Really bad production value.

My list of 870 covers: end of the world, post-nuke, 50's-60's atomic stuff, anything to do with nuclear war.

The Noah (1975)

http://imdb.com/title/tt0454515/

Noah, the sole remaining survivor on our planet after a nuclear holocaust, finds himself unable to to accept his unique predicament. To cope with his loneliness, he creates an imaginary companion, then a companion for his companion and finally an entire civilization - a world of illusion in which there is no reality but Noah, no rules but those of the extinct world of his memory - our world.

A little background about my PA and nuke obsessions.

Back in 2000, I was fortunate enough to get a job with the Army Corp of Engineers on a project dismantling ICBM silos in North Dakota and Minnesota.
One of the last things the we did was to demolish a Command Station that looked like a giant steel pyramid. This was a fascinating structure as it was a giant above ground bomb shelter. It was totally self contained and was to serve the purpose of a central command station for the midwest in the event of a nuke strike...we dismantled 300 silos in North Dakota alone.

So, if there had been a nuclear war, I believe that the earth would have been totally incinerated based on the numbers of silos that I heard about.

And silos do look exactly the way that they are shown in the movies.

@digitalgodd: Sounds like fun demolishing those silos ;) I found this site called CONELRAD  that I think you'll find interesting and if you scroll to the footer of the page there's a link to the top 100 nuke/post-nuke movies list. The site also features many "duck and cover", "red scare",... themed links/videos, news, podcasts,... :beerchug:
