Please visit my page on myspace and check out some of my old demo songs. I am working on new music that will be PA themed.

I am probably the only "band" to have a PA theme.

Bronx Executioner

http://www.motion.tv/video/00000d94/the-bronx-executioner-1989-video.html

It's a gem  , but not PA at all. I think you can remove from the list.

Driving Force

http://www.videodetective.com/movies/DRIVING_FORCE/trailer/M00017271.htm I have doubts here too.

Malignus, videodetective.com has an amazing collection of trailers. Don't you want to link them to the movie descriptions?

Terrible movies made on zero budget. No scary special effects. No suspense.

I just watched the movie. Remove the shot of New York from the beginning and alter a few dialogue lines and you'll get a typical Italian PA trash. Funny thing. Remove one shot of a dead android from the end of the movie and change the dialogue lines and you'll never notice there are any robots in the movie
Anyway, about a half of the movie consists of footage stolen from "The Final Executioner" (the dialogue lines were changed). Atrocious! I have both of the movies on DVD. I'll release them some time later.

Thanks for the links, everyone. I'll update the collection later.

Sweet as collection Malignus ... as with the Robot collection too ...

But what about the one inspired movie ... Mad Max itself ... the first one??? ... it's not in the list ...

I'm grabbing a few Sci-Fi oldies myself to add to the collections ...

http://imdb.com/title/tt0084472/

Set in the year 1992, ten years after a limited nuclear war as destroyed most of the USA, scientist Paul Dean has developed a new form of leach-like parasite which can grow to large portions every time it eats. Then, evil government agents storm his lab and he's forced to flee deep in the nearby desert and persued by a "merchant" (government agent) intent on reclaiming the last two parasites Paul has. The first is in a silver container, the other is in Paul's abdomen. Paul seeks shelter in a small desert town populated by scavengers which threaten his work, while one local girl, Patrica Wells, forms an alliance with Paul to help him find a way to kill the parasite within him without killing himself, as well as find a way to kill the other one which gets loose and will soon multiply into many thousands unless killed soon

This was Demi Moore's first film.

It's not here because it's only slightly futuristic. Too far from being PA, IMO. But since I've made the categories, I think I'll add "Mad Max" next time and put it into the C category.

Digitalgodd, thanks for another rip! But one question. Why are you always making oversized or undersized rips? Anyway. Could you post some screenshots for your rips and some specifications? This site hosts graphics for free: http://www.imageshack.us/

I will be ripping every movie from now on at 800 megs. I use Dr. Divx and I use one of the presets so that most come out at 800 mb.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0071318/

A group of diverse individuals are suddenly taken from their homes and flown via helicopter to a futuristic bomb shelter in the desert, nearly two miles below the surface of the Earth. There they learn that a nuclear holocaust is taking place and that they've been "chosen" by computer to survive in the shelter in order to continue the human race. The shelter is designed to allow the people to exist underground comfortably for years, but they are faced with a threat nobody could have predicted: a colony of thousands of bloodthirsty vampire bats finds a way into the shelter and launches a series of vicious attacks where they claim the humans one by one

This is a Satellite to VHS rip. Quality is average, I had the VHS tape forever.

But why make oversized instead of standard-sized rips (700 MB [1CD] or 745 MB [1/6 DVD])?

I think AutoGKnot would produce better rips than Dr. DivX ... I use it for all my rips and have gotten around the cropping problem I had (thanks to Spud) ... also it has the options to select proper AFS format settings too ...

When I get time I still need to get into GKnot (manual) to get the best picture by using filter plugins, etc ... but for me (and my mates, and the DivX players we use) AutoGKnot is perfect ... IMHO ... :D

I'm using standard Gordian Knot and I'm very happy with it.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0105213/

Bloodthirsty factions rule the barren earth. It's the 21st Century and a biological disaster has ruined the planet. Here, in a world where gunpowder is more valuable than gold, a few hundred survivors wage the final conflict for power and control. Yet among them rises a new warrior, destined to shape the aeons which will follow -- a man who stops at nothing to achieve his ends, and for whom courage is the only commodity.

Poorly edited together with scenes from Wheels of Fire (1985) and Equalizer 2000 (1986)

However, it is an entertaining PA film and has all the elements of a bad Italian post-nuke. Watch for the pyrotechnic boxes clearly exploding from the dirt.

Some questions about Gordian Knot.
How long to process? Dr.Divx takes less than 2 hours for a standard movie.
Can someone suggest a good guide, or maybe give me some pointers about the mechanics of GKnot. I am not quite a newbie to video encoding, but I do not want to use something that has an assload of settings to tweak.

If one of you is the helpful sort, let's discuss Gknot via email.

Death Run
(Michael J. Murphy, 1987)

Mr.Flibble wrote:
Two young lovers are placed in suspended animation by the boy’s mother following a nuclear war. They awaken 25 years later to find the country is ruled over by the Messiah (a 3 fingered gloved mutant). The mutants are divided into those with horribly deformed and blistered skins and those who look quite normal but are diseased. Our heroes are soon captured by the gangs that roam the areaR3;0;the girl is raped and tortured by the Messiah and the boy is sentenced to face the Death Run..(handcuffed to an electric line and forced to run a gauntlet of lethal assailants). Assisted by a long legged hooker (wearing suspenders and stockings most of the time) and an unnamed warrior, they escape the Messiah’s clutches only to face even worse. There’s some great moments, good mutant makeup, some gory scenes, lots of blood and lots of action.
