A Game of Thrones (series, 2011)
this is quality stuff, and even the opening credits do the project...well...credit. I'm enjoying it a lot. the finale is this weekend. that said, the book is 100x better. It's pretty obvious why: there's a lot more going on in 500+ page novel than can reasonably be packed into ten 55 minute episodes. I take it they intend to produce a book per season. it's understandable and, as I said, works. but I would have taken a more methodical approach. I wouldn't feel compelled to "catch up" with the books. rather, spend a couple seasons on one book. it's an epic. they're long. they just are. that's why they're called epics.

I decided to watch Paul and i'm glad i did, i really enjoyed it, it was pretty consistantly funny througout, Pegg and Frost seemed to fit the roles pretty well, and Rogen sounded quite fitting as an alien who is a bit of a slacker

yeah. I liked PAUL. I AM NUMBER FOUR is paint-by-the-numbers sci-fodder. but i was mildly entertained. reminded me of a better, more action packed version of ROSWELL (series).

i see, i remember that show back when i was a teen, season 1 finished and i was giving it all "can't wait for the next season to start, it's gonna be awesome" then the next season rolled around and i really couldn't even give enough of a shit to start watching it again...

Probably give i am number four a go tonight then, although i also have The Man From Earth to watch, and i'm quite interested in it's premise... An impromptu retirement party for a professor leads him to tell his friends that he is actually immortal and has been alive for 14,000 years

YOU SHUT THE HELL UP RIGHT NOW!!!

seriously tho i'm glad to hear a good review of it, all my friends keep ragging on it saying it's utter dregs and disrespectful to the green lantern comics and just generally crap.

mind you, I had very low expectations, and I'm not saying it was great. apparently, the idea that hal jordan would imagine a gun type of weapon is blasphemy, and he does so at least three times.

saw last ep of GAME OF THRONES s1 last night. gotta wait a whole year just for another 10 eps. :(

oh well. new book in July. :)

i watched The Man From Earth (2007) last night and really enjoyed it, i found it very well made and the acting was pretty good considering, i would recommend it to anyone, it's one of those films that opens up debate afterwards but in a good way not a bad way

Bad Teacher (2011)
bad movie. lots of laughs though. all the laughs are incredibly cheap, and it's a pretty raunchy movie. it also kind of just ends. but I did laugh out loud quite a few times at a lot of the absurd and raunchy fodder. so there's that.

I just thought i remembered hearing somewhere that they split up, i may be wrong though

Watched 3 movies yesterday

TimeCop
EuroTrip and
Thunder In Paradise 2

Thunder in paradise 1 (i watched the night before) was cheesy early 90s hulk hogan fun, the 2nd one wasn't, it was cheesy, but it lacked the fun part, however i do always enjoy timecop and eurotrip, the latter being somewhat of an annual summer tradition between me and my close friends
