/me watches uni's linux systems crash again

Well if anything gets moved and a group of you decide to start up some clan matches, I think I could write up some php and what not for stats, current game locations, etc.

I'd have to be skeptical about any uni that can screw a Linux enough to keep it crashing. The uni I've just left used entirely Linux or Solaris stuff and it was flawless. My own Gentoo 64-bit installation is a thing of beauty frankly. Games are the only reason for me to keep Windows.

Redhat 6; a bit of C, is all you need, to destroy linux, yes indeed

To be fair its normally after gnome fatally excepts, with 150 people rendering graphics on the same work stations at the end of the year and then zap

Its a piece of piss to make any operating system crash though when provoked, but of course linux tends to stay up longer. :)

I've been meaning to setup a linux box for at home, its a better 'leave alone platform' I found, so it will be ideal for being a server and doing the odd side project/what have you

Well, if you actively want to bollock it, that's different.

Ugh, Gnome's ugly and crude as hell. KDE all the way for me.

If you want to go the Gentoo way feel free to ask and I'll help wherever possible. They also have some excellent forums on their site.
