"Legend of Earthsea" on SciFi Channel

Postby hagbard on Sun Dec 12, 2004 10:52 pm

"Legend of Earthsea" premieres Monday, December 13 at 9/8C on SciFi Channel

"Legend of Earthsea", based upon Ursula K. Le Guin's beloved books, arrives as a SciFi channel original miniseries, beginning tonight at 9/8C. Spanning two nights, "Legend of Earthsea" takes place on a world of islands, where wizards can shape destinies, princesses can be beguiled by evil, and dragons still darken the skies. Shawn Ashmore (X-Men) plays Ged, a young magician-in-training who must discover the extent of his powers even as he falls in love, fights evil men, and, becomes a legend in the mystical world of "Legend of Earthsea". The cast also includes Kristin Kreuk ("Smallville"), Isabella Rossellini, and Danny Glover.

Yes, I'd never heard of it, but then someone looked over my shoulder and was surprised they'd made something from it at last.

Then got really worried at the cast list and all the f*ck ups they've made:

So be warned :(

That "yes" meaning, that you are going to record it ?

Would be great. I read the books some 10-15 years ago. Even my personal favourite of her is The Dispossesed, an utopian novel describing an anarchist society.

Well, my expectations ain´t too high anyway. Most movie adaptions of books, that I really liked, disappointed me badly. So I am warned by experience ...
