I think it's safe to say that this movie is the biggest flop in movie history. Can't believe I was one of the few that actually watched this one in the movie theatre :wacky:

A popular misconception, probably becuase the movie was expected to be a big money loser because of the ballooning budget, expensive re-shoots and script re-writes.

It actually made a sizeable profit from its worldwide boxoffice, before even factoring in video rentals and sales.

The Adventures of Pluto Nash was the biggest box office flop i think, then Cutthroat Island

The Postman did worse than Waterworld :o

Yes, it cost $100,000,000 and only made $4,000,000! :-o

Closely followed, I think, by Heaven's Gate, which totally ruined United Artists.

Never knew that Waterworld did fairly well in the end. Guess because it bombed domestic it was stamped as one of the biggest flops.

Never seen or even heard of The Adventures of Pluto Nash. Guess I'll have to check it out to know how a biggest flop looks like
