Fire In The Sky (1993)

Image

IMDB:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106912/

PLOT:
A group of men who were clearing bush for the government arrive back in town, claiming that their friend was abducted by aliens. Nobody believes them, and despite a lack of motive and no evidence of foul play, their friends' disappearance is treated as murder.

USER COMMENTS:
Basically the story is a guy gets abducted by aliens and turns up naked and in shock 5 days later. During that week his lumberjack buddies get accused of his murder, take a polygraph, and generally become the talk of the town.

The plot is simple, as is the acting. James Garner making an appearance as the experienced out-of-town detective surprised me, but then again i didn't really know what to expect from this film.

I still take the 'based on a true story' schtick with a pinch of salt.

NP! Saw this movie back when it was released and always thought Peter Berg's performance was brilliant. His acting scared to death IMO was on pair with Veronica Cartwright's in Alien or Shelley Duvall's in The Shining. Some actors are simply born to play certain roles and his performance in this flick still gives me goosebumps :nosuchsmiley: If anyone is interested I saw full DVD releases on certain torrent sites recently. I won't post any links here for objective reasons. Those interested shouldn't have much trouble in finding them
