The Planet concerns a group of shipwrecked mercenaries and their struggle for survival on an alien world. A world where death is only the beginning.

A mercenary spaceship ferrying a convict is attacked by a horde of unidentified fighter craft. Forced to abandon their crippled ship the survivors land on "The Planet". Soon they discover that they are not alone, as they battle to survive they begin to fall prey to a malevolent force. A force which turns the souls of their fallen comrades against them. Forming a rescue plan the survivors race to carry it out while they still can. Unknown to the team, the prisoner is also on the planet and his presence there could change the universe as they know it, forever.

hi, the cropping seems to be off, but most of all the AR is quite a long way off for this one:
1.45:1 is not a valid aspect ratio. In this case its likely it should be 1.33:1.

For a 70min movie, your probably right pushing res up high, its probably more of a 704xyyy kind of resolution though.

Sounds like a cool movie though, it any good?

Sure, burst my bubble!

Yes, the movie rocks.

It's my first time ripping, and I just went ahead and used AutoGK, so I'm not surprised it's all off. If you can point me to good resources to figuring out all the finer points of ripping that would be great.

Not for nothing, but this is the only rip available atm.

I've never used autogknot to any large degree, firstly because it didn't exist back then and secondly, when i tried it afterwards i was very unhappy with the quality and the other rips it had messed up.

I use proper gknot:
http://gknot.doom9.org/

And i followed this guide:
http://www.doom9.org/xvid-guides.htm

Until i memorised it after a few goes.

Gknot is neat because you've got your preview window and you can tweak the scripts easily yourself.
