Plot Summary: Earth is on the brink of obliteration. Two alien races have crashed on the planet and are in search of the Omega seed. The large obelisk that monitors earth must be deactivated or it will erase all traces of mankind. Jude, an Omegan, knows he can save earth’s inhabitants by using several ether-rods lost by the Omega race over 60 years ago. However, Cronin, an Omega-cinterion is hell-bent on destroying it, all humans and the planet in the process. Which alien race will win?

Inverse Telecine?? How do I go about fixing that, or finding that out after the encode is done?

Is IVTC those small scan lines in the picture? Would a deinterlace filter fix that?

Yes & probably yes ... If you're using GKnot then DVD2AVI will tell you what the video type is ...

But use this guide:

If DVD2AVI says ...

1. It is Film and is >95% and is Progressive then use FORCE FILM
2. It is Film and is >95% and is Interlaced and you have artifacts (which yours has) then De-interlace
3. It is Film and is >95% and is Interlaced and you Don't have artifacts then FORCE FILM
4. It is NTSC and is Progressive then use FORCE FILM
5. It is NTSC and is Interlaced and you have artifacts (which yours has) then De-interlace
6. It is NTSC and is Interlaced and you Don't have artifacts then FORCE FILM

So it's either 2 or 5 ... I would say 2 ... De-Interlace the movie ... as I think Film is for DVDs ...

There are PAL settings but as this is Region 1 you need to establish what type of Frame Type you have ...

I think thats right ... from what I have learn't ...

Very few sources (5 at most) and the one with full file is constantly missing. Do yourself a favor and use this link instead (about 350 sources) - it also look less pixelated and is not interlaced:
