[IMDb]

SYNOPSIS:
From the award winning director of Ghost in the Shell. In the near future, dangerous illegal virtual games of war spread. Avalon is one of these games, in which many young people have become addicted. Some even earn their living from it. The Players, under constant bombardment by helicopters and tanks, slog through this world with the same pace of real soldiers.
Ash (Foremniak), also known as "The noble soldier" is one of these young warriors, prisoner and captive at the very core of the game. When she is not "logged-on" and building a reputation as a top player, Ash leads a solitary existence with her dog in a lonely apartment...
But when Ash's former lover is lost in the game, she decides to follow him into a secret level, from which no player has ever returned.

just took a look at the AR of this, and its way out.... 1.45:1? It surely should be 1.85:1? That would explain why those screenshots are all out of proportion.

1.66 ratio according to IMDb. I previewed CD 1 and it looked fine.

Thanks, I know how to w/ NGs. Happen to know off hand the Subject line/Post of this one? Or maybe even post a NZB file?

I see Immortel is being posted as well.

OK, I finished getting the ENGLISH version off the NG. Question is, spread the 15MB chunks (79) or the 1.2Gig+ AVI? I want to see if I can chop this into 2 CDs. Any suggestions on anyone's favorite tool for this?

favourite isn't a suitable word, the tool to always use is nandub. It's pretty much the only one that will do it properally.

hit home key
edit>go to last keyframe>699mb
hit end key
video>direct stream copy
file>save as>CD1
hit home key
navigate to the end
hit end key
file>save as>CD2

i suggest to share it untouched (after having it extracted from the rars), because it's probable that someone else will do the same in some other part of the world. this way we will have the same hash and dont spread the sources.
then anyone can split it at his desire or burn it on dvd-r if he's that lucky.
just a thought....

Image cool

weird film, hope you liked it. the dubbing is ...errr...well, dubbing. And there is no tranlated text either, I don't think its much.

I would agree with tweye and leave it as is for the same reason and splitting it is easy anyway, direct stream copy it, here's a how to for virtualdub as well

http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive ... ualdub.cfm

note for the older original rip: I dunno know why screen look funny but played ok for me

The AR of the Animereactor rip is easily fixed with a decent player (e.g. ZoomPlayer).

nope, you should do that yourslef and its not going to be on newsgroups anyway, its 3 years old now

i wouldn't personally condone that anyway... can't stand dubs  a lot better film in original language with subs, its not as retarded then. You probably want to get another rip anyway, this has a bad AR.
