i did a rip of my criterion letterbox laser disc of robinson crusoe on
mars if interested let me know, the only version i have found is a capture off of tv.

when i originaly captured the disc it was at 9mb second the highest
mpeg quality my capture device would do, so the original file size
is around 7.9 gigs, i then made a 4.7 gig dvd with chapters and motion
menues with ac3 sound out of the 7.9 gig file and it looks just like the
original laser disc so if there is interest i might also post the dvdr image.

That sounds cool, although it would be a huge bandwidth commitment.

Whatever, you decide (700mb or a DVDr) I'll most likely download :)

whats the best program to make an image of the dvdr and split it to multiple 700 megs files fo better downloading?

you mean like archive it up?

Firstly, use DVDdecrypter to get an iso file (mode->ISO>READ), don't mess around with vobs.

Then use winrar to compress the iso. You click second mbutton on the file then add to archive, then in the box on what value to split the archive by, enter your size in bytes, which for 700mb is:
734003200
