Orange Cow productions: Star Wars - Deleted Magic
Lost Scenes And editing secrets of Star Wars

This is a very interesting documentary about the making of the first Star Wars film
(and to a lesser extent Empire and Jedi) including a look at some of the deleted
scenes, behind the scenes footage, and notes on subtle things that you might have
never seen or noticed before. A real gem created by a Star Wars fan for other true fans.

Both have a lot of vobs to deal with.
You just want the main movie of Deleted Magic ? and not all the extra features around it.

I'm converting them to divx. I'm still not too happy with the quality though.
I will take my time :D

Well you helped me before

I use H.263
the problem is with Gknot, if I choose to de-interlace in gknot instead of de-interlace with the divx codec, all of the picture turns green.
So I choose NO for de-interlacing and during encoding the divx codec de-interlaces for me. It does a nice job. but for some reason it doesn't look great.
Perhaps the source isn't fantastic.

I'm converting one part at the moment. Later on this evening I will post screenshots of 3 parts of the DVD content that I've converted so far.

all of the picture turns green.

One of two things; its either a codec problem or its the ordering of your filters in your avisynth script both of which can cause this. For the filters you can't put them in any old order i'm afraid, and it will cause problems sometimes if you have them in the wrong order (if you hit preview it will show you if there's a problem by saying an error or displaying in green).

I would make this general recommendation, don't use Divx! Its crap, and even more of a warning, don't use divx extended functionality like deinterlace... its just shite.

Just use xvid, any reason you ain't? There's not much reason to choose divx over xvid imo.

On the Save and Encode screen, press edit and paste your avisynth script here and i'll take a look see if there's anything i spot, its definitely your filter ordering or an ffdshow/playback problem though.

I'm gonna try xvid then. Never worked with it, that's the reason I didn't use it :D

Don't know if El Mariachi ever finished his XviD, but I did a rip of this:
