Is it just me, or is first contact the only one really worth bothering with?

I mean some of them okay, but First Contact seemed to be the best star trek movie :)

I prefer The Motion Picture to anything because it captures everything Star Trek is about.

The film is really just an epanded version of The Changeling which in itself was a brilliant episode, just one of many where Kirk talks a Computer to death.

You have got to be kidding. This one more than any other film I can think of puts me to sleep everytime I tried watching it. I've long since given up on this one.

I think ST2 is in the top 5 for me along w/ 4, 6, 8, & 9. Generations is really ONLY worth watching to see Kirk die!!!

This should spark some debate :

Star trek II: wrath of Khan (by trekkies voted as the best ) would be a total pile of wastd celluoid if it wasn't for spock's death....

I personally LOATH part 2....well not as much as part 3....and don't mention 5 please.......and that ninth ....BAH!

Anyone here that really hates everyone's cherised part 4 ?
I must admit i like it too...as a spoof.....

3's the worst of the lot and 5 is only just behind it

Although I will say that Ricardo Montalban made 2 work

No no no. 5 & 1 have to be the worst of the lot.

2 - was good cause of Khan and the Reliant research vessel kicking the crap out of the Enterprise.
3 - well, was just meant to bring back Spock.
4 - was a nice relief from normal ST humdrum.
5 - well just sucked.
6 - was good for the Klingons, but sucked for the 'Oh, I just remembered, spaceships have an exhaust pipe' bullshit.
7 - was good cause Kirk DIED!!! Was I the ONLY one who cheared & clapped when Kirk DIED in the theater?
8 - was a great Borg/action flick
9 - was so so, but had cool Son'a ships.
10 - was just an excuse to make another movie.

ODO - Try VLC or MPC. Also make sure you have the AC3 CoDec & DivX 5.02 or later installed.

heres my opinion of the st movies

4 - miles ahead any of the others
9 - yes i liked it, got a problem with that punk? :matrix:
8 - was pretty good, liked the whole getting to see the "birth" of how it all began
2 - this word summarises the best part of the movie "KHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNN"
6 - was also quite fun (joint place with 2)
7 - like merc said you get to see kirk die, although even better you get to see him die TWICE  , even tho one is just him being kicked into another universe but its fun to think he dies twice
3 - god this was shit, i saw it when i was really young and had a hard time figuring it out, luckily some mothers do 'av 'em was on after to give me much needed brain relief, upon more recent viewings 3 is...still shit
5 - yes even this one has something over the 1st one
1 - BLEUUURGH
10 - havent seen so its stuck at the bottom until i see it, but im aware the baddy is some faggy romulan or someone equally as gay

and i hate data hes a pretenious twat

8 = good
rest = barely passable / can't remember them... moving on...
2 = crrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaapppppppppp!!!! :lol:
7 = i think this is generations, this was so crappy!
~10 = wtf, why didn't they just shoot the fake data out of a f*ckin' torpedo tube?
"Kryten, stop your blithering and get in the damn tube"
~9 = if this is inserrection, then its terrible. By far the worst or at least joint worst

8 is by far the most superior, maybe because whilst still being star trek it wasn't the same pap. Kind of the same reason why I think Goldeneye is the best Bond film, because its not very bond

as far as im concerned bond wise a good rule of thumb to follow is... they all suck, with possible exception of dr no as its the original and the only one worth giving a flying flibbledy gooble about
