Horror/scifi

or more accurate:
HORROR/sci-fi

I'd have put it on hhah, but true, it is set around that engineered virus :) It's a solid film but i think it gets a tad too much credit personally... or that might be because its a mainstream film, whereas I've seen all the zombie greats.

Yeah, the RAGE infectees are effectively zombies. More in the style of the Dawn of the Dead remake agressive zombie rather than the lovable shuffling, brains craving ones we all know and love.

The alt ending was screened at the cinima over hear at the end of the credits.. no idea if it is on the end credits of the dvd as i will not be watching this flick for a LONG time. Got a rip of it for collection but no way is this getting a official retail dvd in my collection.

Yeah, the RAGE infectees are effectively zombies

Lets not drag the hhah thread over here but.... TO BE A ZOMBIE MOVIE THEY HAVE TO BE FUCKN ZOMBIES!!!! DEAD OR CONTROLED THU VOODO!!!

More in the style of the Dawn of the Dead remake

I really hope that 28 days dose not start a new era of running zombies. I mean I just saw dawn of the dead (I wanted to wait for theater release for full impact) and was supprised at how little it pissed me off, the running I mean. Though it still grated on me.

I mean the original with the walking dead shuffeling around the mall was a social take on consumerisum, lost in the remake.

I agree, hence the use of the word effectively. They're a kind of ersatz zombie.

Again, I agree, but I think a little variety wouldn't hurt. I guess you wouldn't be up for a Chariots of Fire remake with zombies?
