Plot:
Nada, a down-on-his-luck construction worker,
discovers a pair of special sunglasses. Wearing them,
he is able to see the world as it really is: people
being bombarded by media and government with messages
like "Stay Asleep", "No Imagination", "Submit to Authority".
Even scarier is that he is able to see that some usually
normal-looking people are in fact ugly aliens in charge of
the massive campaign to keep humans subdued.

I already have this great movie, but thanks for sharing! Not only does this movie have my favorite fight scene (over wearing sunglasses, no less) but also contains my favorite movie quote -

I am here to kick ass and chew bubblegum... and I am all out of bubble gum.

It also features one of my all time favorite pro wreslers - Roddy Roddy Piper

Besides RRP, it has one onf my favorite actors, & probably one of the best voice actors, Keith David. The other best voice actor IMHO is Clancy Brown.

i wouldnt really say duke nukem is like this film, in duke nukem the aliens are planly visible and havent kept order to the earth like the aliens in this movie, the only thing that resembles the duke is roddy piper kinda looks like him a little and the glasses are the same kinda style as what the duke wears, thats only comparison i can see, they live had no "babes" in either like duke nukem :lol:

duke nukem is like this film in so far that the line and the character are publically stolen from this movie isn't it?

Certainly for Duke3d I'm sure I heard.

There's certainly weight behind the claim that perhaps they were crafted with the same hammer and chissel

2. ordinary (without THE black glasses) people are unaware of the aliens, ie. strippers in DN3D.

the glasses dont make a difference in duke, as i recall he sees them as strippers too until you mess around with certain switches in the strip joint

also duke never has allies, he pretty much is a 1man army, but in they live there is a resistence group
