There were two further sequels, 2063 and 3001. In some ways I never liked anything beyond 2001 as I felt they ruined the mystery of it all. Still if anyones interested, 2063 shows what happned on Europa and what the Monolith was up to. 3001 is about the recovery of Frank Pooles body, his resurrection by newer technology and the potential threat the monolith now poses.
