Plot:
Zane Ziminski is fired from NASA after picking up unidentified signals from a distant location in space. His curiosity soon turn to sheer terror as he travels to Mexico, where a series of unexplained events lead him to believe that there are aliens all over the world. He gathers evidence to support this theory but will he ever have the chance to broadcast the 'facts' alive?

I saw it a couple of times... I actually liked it. some special alien fx were quite nicely done

this is also done by the same director as Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick

but we all can click IMDB :D

1. "the arrival" is a top notch ´90s b-movie
2. its highly recommended no doubt :mrgreen:
3. yes, there is a sequel
4. no, this gets no recommendation (the sequel, NOT this killer gem here)

i have seen this ages ago, good movie... cool to watch on sundays when u have an hangover and have kicked the annoying chaterbox girlfriend out.... :beerchug:

I always wondered why Cheen never made it big time. Always liked him, thought he had that special camera charm (just like Sam Elliott), that many big stars lack. Guess getting admitted for heroin addiction aint exactly a carreer booster though...

And whatever happened to Emilio Estevez??? Has he been in even ONE decent film since Repo Man?

Yup, a good one. I bought the Arrival/Arrival II DVD. 2 is no where near as good as 1. This one's definately worth it.
