Great post!

I liked the first one (surprisingly absorbing for a movie with no dialogue or plot), so I've clicked the second and third.

I didn't really like the first one that much. I've become a HUGE fan of Philip Glass, but in that one, he was a little too monotome IMO. Is the second better?

Well. All a question of personal taste, isn´t it ? Everybody choosing his/her own drugs, eh ?

I was actually very much impressed by part one. Will certainly watch it again - this time trying to disable the audio & play some decent ambient instead ... just trying ...

I liked all three parts. Every part is focussing on a different theme, but in their approach and technique they are similar. Personally, my favourite is part one. But that might be, because it was the first movie of that kind, that I ever saw - so it was a very new experience ...

You know Baraka as well ?

yeah, I've had Barka for many years now, but never watched it. This weekend I'm prolly gonna pop some E's, and maybe I'll put it on in the background?

Has some very freaky scenes with religious rituals (Baraka): African bushmen, Tibetan monks, ...

Well. I actually think, they are very nice tripping movies - both the Qatsi Trilogy and Bakara. But then again, as stated already, tastes are different ... :)

but freaky scenes with religious rituals?? At present I'd go for it. Whilse tripping I'd rather not witness such things.

Come to think about it. Maybe you are right. The burning-of-the-dead ceremonies on the Ganges & the Auschwitz footage might be a bit tough on a sensitive soul whilst tripping ...

Well, as I quoted from the "Spirit of Baraka" website: "The beauty and the destructiveness of our world."
