I didn't see it in the 'Updates', but does the Sivka Mod allow you to ban people on demand, not just auto? Cause I want to ban any/every lamer who refuses/can't change their listed nick. Tired of all these 'http://www.emule.ImaJackass.net' or whatevers.

And a controversial entry, NeoMod 'based' on LSD (it is infact not, its based on vanilla but with many LSD features):
http://www.neomule.tk/

Has been described as a leech mod because of:
a) it has community features [but lots of clients do, morph does I think too]
b) reask sources/kad/server [used too often can be classed as aggressive]
c) ability to kick people from queue [nuff said, don't do it unless you have an extremely good reason to do it, in most cases, its just incredibly bad for the network.... especially if you have a retarded notion that xyz is a leech! You wil be wrong, no doubt about it, and you will be treating that client unfairly. So caution using the feature, else i agree its a harmful feature.]

Technically, its not even close to a leech mod (ratio is in place, upload is constant and stable [infact huge releasing power due to many of its feautres], and 'do not touch' areas of code untouched unlike LSD mod), but the purists would argue it is, and i'd imagine it can be used very wrongly in the wrong hands. Be careful when using reask server/sources/kad, there is a delay, but if you repeatedly do it, you are hammering and will most likely get banned from clients.

i used to like emule+ but it was a cpu hog, pretty much rehashed all files on a restart, had memory leaks (after just 3 days would be using 90-100MB plus of ram whereas sivka takes 10-14 days to use that much up!!) was unstable for me - always crashed after about 4or5 days (i regularly run sivka for over 2 weeks at a time)

Anyone tried Shareaza?

"Shareaza 2.0: Open Source Release Date: June 1st, 2004

Shareaza is the most luxurious and sophisticated file sharing system you'll find. It can harness the power of up to four separate peer-to-peer (P2P) networks, including EDonkey2000, Gnutella, BitTorrent and Shareaza's native network, Gnutella2 (G2).

Not only that, but Shareaza is completely FREE and won't show any annoying ads or pop-ups. It won't install any unwanted third party programs that can wreak havoc with your computer. No spyware, no registration, no "paid version". Just download and use. Simple."

With covering the Donkey, Gnutella, & BT networks, there's no need for multiple clients.

I have but a version 1 iteration, utterly terrible at all of them. Crap ed2k support, inferior bit torrent implementation and worst of all doesn't support ed2k part/part.met files

Trying v2. Nothing so far reguarding Donkey, but Gnutella2 works fine. Links work for Donkey & Torrents. In the Tools/Settings area, it allows a DL of a Donkey server list (that doesn't seem to be working right) & importing of .part files. So far, not impressed on working other than compatability.
